Club Forum - Project Plan

Post by Chris Noble on Wed Jun 02, 2010 8:35 pm

Below is a Project Plan for the rest of the project to develop the Club Forum. It's been quickly put together to give some deadlines so we can all attempt to get what we need to get done in time. Don't be fooled into thinking that September is a long time away. If we slip into the fact that it's all nearly done we could find ourselves in a situation when it's late August and we have a lot to do to get things ready for the Committee Meeting on 9th Septemeber and the launch on 20th.

Please review the plan and advise of anything you feel is not right. We do have some slipage on the timescales but I think we would rather have a fully functioing stable system going into launch than a system that still needs a lot of work.

Can't seem to add the plan and save as it is saying "post too large" - under investigation

In the meantime it is available as a downloadable attachment

Hi Chris

Great plan; I like planning and timescales as it gets participants motivated.

A few enhancements to the plan:

27 should be swapped with 31.

27 is then dependant upon 16.

31 is then dependant on 27.

Regards

Steve,

In 27 I have put Produce User Guide for Publication
and 31 Finalise user guide.

I have put them that way because at 29 we present to the Committee. Therefore the user guide needs to be ready for that presentation (27) and 31 is in case we get feedback from that meeting that means the guide needs changing.

Hope this is clear.

Suggestions for rewording?

Hi Chris

16 Produce Draft Copy User Guide 1st Aug

XX Group 'red pen' user guide 2nd Aug - 23rd Aug

27 Add enhancements to 'Issue 1' user guide 24th Aug - 8th Sept

31 Final Draft of 'Issue 1' 18th Sept

I could do with a user guide to produce a user guide. I am up to 24 pages and feel that I have only just 'scratched the surface'. I think the KISS principal will have to be employed (Keep It Short & Simple).

Thanks Steve - will implement and change the download file.

I thought KISS was Keep It Simple, Stupid!

Seems ok to me. I think we've got a long way quite quick.

Steve, need any help with the user guide? or Suggestions for sections?

Ann-Marie

I would be grateful of some help once I have added the main sections. In Word, the document is currently 10GB with 24 pages due to the ‘Screen Dumps’!

Cheers

Chris

I have added a new post (Forum Development Area) with a list of topics currently in the Forum Guide. Maybe you could take the information with you tonight for members to discuss?
